Intensive therapy

Intensive therapy sessions should only be accepted from qualified health professionals.  Intensive therapy is designed for individuals and couples who need a rapid situation shift to handle immediate as well as chronic difficulties.  It is especially well suited to high stress, high risk situations.

As is standard practice with Appropriate Psychology, the initial consultation is free of charge and will set the tone for the therapy.  Intensive therapy is always bespoke and appropriate to the client. 

Treatment usually takes place over one to five days and includes agreed follow-up sessions and ongoing homework.  Clients can expect to learn and benefit from a range of techniques to bring relief, closure and understanding.  These are likely to involve talking therapy, mindfulness and hypnotherapy.  Intensive therapy may also involve immersion therapy, psychometric analysis and role play.  Clients can expect to undertake tasks, enjoy ongoing analysis and work through feedback.  As agreed milestones are passed, sessions are modified to refine improvements.

This dedicated work requires block booking and pre-agreement.  It is always carried out face-to-face.  Usually the client is invited to work with Dr Craig Knight in Devon; although it can be arranged for Craig to travel to you either nationally or internationally.  Craig always leads Appropriate Psychology’s intensive therapy sessions.  This approach is your guarantee of professionalism, safety, qualification and appropriateness.  You only risk improvement, happiness and satisfaction.

Costs

As an indication, intensive therapy costs from £1,800 plus any necessary expenses.  All costs are agreed in advance.
